Caracumbe es un grupo afro-peruano compuesto por 13 músicos y bailarines, muchos de ellos provenientes del aclamado conjunto Perú Negro. Su director, Marcos Napa, comparte el legado artístico de sus ancestros con pasión y conocimiento de causa y movimientos que han resistido las pruebas del tiempo.

Pachamama Peruvian Arts. Marcos Napa teaches Afro-Peruvian music and dance at Pachamama Peruvian Arts, located at PS 212, Queens. Since January 2004, over 300 children have participated in Pachamama�s free after-school program which features classes in the traditional music and dance of Peru. Cajon Workshop with Marcos Napa in New York



Marcos Napa is having Cajon Workshop in Queens once a month.
You will learn how to play the Afro-Peruvian rhythms, and t is not necessary to bring a cajon.
Just bring your energy for this fun percussion class!!!

Time: 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. (please try to be on time. Marcos will start at 5:10 p.m. the latest) Directions:
From Manhattan:
Option#1: Take the E or R train from 42st. Station heading Uptown /to Jamaica Center.
Get off at Queens Plaza, then exit near intersection of Rt-25a (Northern Blvd) and 41st Ave.
Start out going East on Rt-25a (Northern Blvd) towards 41st Ave.,and keep moving ahead onto Northern Blvd. You will see the place with red balloons outside

Option#2:Take the N or Q train from 42 Street station heading Uptown/to Astoria.
Get off at 39 Avenue (Beebe Avenue) & exit near intersection of 31st St and 39th Ave.
Start out going South on 31st St, turn right onto Northern Blvd-- Arrive at 3001 Northern Blvd.
